Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University (SZABMU) is a Federally Chartered university established in 2013 through an Act of Parliament. The biggest hospital of the region, Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), is the constituent hospital of the university. SZABMU is vigorously pursuing academic and research collaboration with well reputed institutions within and outside the country. It has a rigorous accreditation process that strictly follows the guidelines of Pakistan Medical & Dental Council.
It gives me immense pleasure that HBS Medical & Dental College is the first Medical College affiliated with SZABMU right from its inception. The study program of HBS Medical & Dental College for undergraduate training follows the curriculum prescribed by SZABMU. The examinations and evaluations of the students of this college will be conducted by the University. In addition, SZABMU will confer degrees upon successful medical graduates of the college.The campus, hospital and other facilities of the college have also been approved and accredited by PM&DC. Most importantly, the college has a highly qualified faculty to ensure that its students receive the best possible medical education under the Integrated Modular System.
